I work as a Web designer and graphic designer in Dallas, TX. Currently I'm employed with a company that offers online and live CME activities for oncologists. They also publish oncology journals, and newsletters as well as a nationwide renowned consumer magazine for cancer patients and survivors.

My responsibilities include content management, updates and adding new content for the entire meetings section of the Web site, as well as building online CME activities like interactive case studies, publications and lectures. I'm also responsible for designing e-mail blasts for meetings and online activities in close cooperation with the marketing department and audience generation department.

Prior to this employment I worked for a small Dallas based Web design company where I designed and maintained numerous Web sites for small companies and entrepreneurs. In the course this also usually included creating of logos and banners, and designing of flyers and marketing materials, business cards, and stationery.

My formal education includes an Associate Degree in Visual Communications (US) and an Associate Degree in Advertising (Germany).

In 1998 I immigrated from Germany to the US and have established permanent residency. Prior to my emigration, I worked six years for a software company where I designed user interfaces, wrote and designed technical documents and user manuals, and created and designed the corporate identity and all marketing materials. I also worked as an administrative assistant for a large pharmaceutical company in Scientific Affairs and as media buyer for an advertising agency.
